MP3's are higher quality, but they take longer if you have a slow connection.

RealAudio files are lower quality, but they will work at almost any connection

speed. To download an MP3, click the RIGHT mouse button on the link,

NEW - Songs from 7/10/2005 morning service at Calvary Church

We intentionally used some "folk" instruments in this service in order to achieve a sound that is different from what we were used to. In addition to piano, keyboard, drums, and guitar, we also had mandolin, banjo, and string/upright bass. We had a great time, and we ended up with (I think) some good recordings!

NEW - C4 Acapella - "How Deep the Father's Love for Us"

I arranged this version of "How Deep the Father's Love for Us" for C4 Acapella, an ensemble that Sharon and I directed together. The group was composed of people in their twenties, mostly from C4, Calvary Church's college and young singles group. The great part about it was that it grew from a random Christmas carol-sing. A bunch of us were together singing at a friend's house, and we were really surprised by how many good voices we heard all sight-reading 4-part harmony out of the hymnal. So we decided we'd have to sing together more often. Many thanks to them for all their hard work.

"Fields of Grace" from Vision 2005

The Vision Conference is an annual student missions conference held at

Calvary Church. This year I played keyboard and alternate percussion with

Jericho Road, the band that led worship.  This is one of the songs I recorded

live and mixed down later so we could remember the weekend and hear

ourselves.  Side note for you musicians out there: Want to get better? Record

yourself and listen critically.  My piano professor always used to say that he

was “an expensive tape recorder.”

2004 Christmas Eve service at Calvary Church
I arranged these traditional Christmas songs for our band, which included oboe, string bass, 2 acoustic guitars, piano, percussion, and hammered dulcimer.  They were recorded straight from the house mix, so they don’t sound great.   I should have multitracked them, but at least this will work.  I played dulcimer on the first song and led with guitar on the second.

Cedarville University Fellowship Service (2001):
The following clips are from the first Cedarville
Fellowship service of 2001. Many parents attend
the first service each year, so about 3,000 people
were there. The mix isn't great on these, either, but they'll work.  :)

Original music (which I’ll record with a band when I get around to it!)

From All That Dwell Below the Skies (NEW as of May 2005)

I put new music to this old Watts/Spence hymn and added

some lyrics and a chorus section.  You can read and

listen to the original hymn here on Cyberhymnal.
